For the past five years senior marine biologist, Nicole Crane and her science team have been doing research on the outer reefs of the Ulithi Atoll, Micronesia. Severely damaged from Super Typhoon Maysak, these declining reefs are the life source for the outer islanders. Nicole and her team's cutting edge approach of combining science with tradition might save the reefs and unite the atoll in the face of climate change.
This documentary would not have been possible without the participation, involvement, and passion of the Ulithian Community, One People One Reef, The Explorer's Club, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York University, The University of California, Santa Cruz, The University of British Columbia, NOAA, Bluecology, The Oceanic Society, & The National Science Foundation.
